Bars are easy and less time consuming as scooping cookies if you're in a hurry.
Toffee Bars
There is no toffee inside Toffee Bars. But we've made these since I was little. It's more like a shortbread with a melted Hershey Bar on top. What I love about these bars is that I almost always have the ingredients on hand, perhaps with the exception of the chocolate bar.
Blondies
Sometimes I just want the chewiness of a brownie without all the chocolate. I have tried many different recipes and these are my favorite. Peanut warning, folks!
Pumpkin Bars
Another family favorite that has been in our family for decades. My brother Todd particularly loves these and anytime I make these, I'll make an extra pan and take them to his house. My mom swears by using Feztal canned pumpkin if you have it in your area. Not where I live, unfortunately. I just use whatever is cheapest. And who doesn't love cream cheese frosting? These are great any time of year, but especially yummy in the fall.
